The Badminton Club does not exist with a simple snap of the fingers.  This Club has been established and maintained by devoted UBC students.  Every executive commits themselves to the club throughout the course of the year.  Remember, we are students too!  We too have stress, papers due, stress, labs, stress, exams, other commitments and did I mention STRESS?!       None of the executives are getting paid for their efforts so please do not think that we are earning money.  In fact, this club is a non-profit organization.  If for some reason money is left over nearing the end of the school year, we will then organize some kind of activity or activities that all members can do together.  This Club has always been designed for students to have fun, to relieve stress, and to meet new people.       We will be providing all the birdies, but this does not mean that you can abuse them.  Remember, the more birdies we use, the more money we use.  We will also be providing racquets for those who do not have one but we would encourage you to purchase one.  Having your own racquet will improve your game play.  You can get a decent one between $50-$100.  For the beginners who do not know how to play, there will be a Skills Clinic to teach you how to play and score.       Remember that this is a recreational club so have fun!
